This is the first of three pieces of furniture created for our new Grandson, Ryan.  Made from Sassafras, it was finished in Pilgrim Maple dye, 2 # shellac and WB lacquer.

The kids decided to create the room with a nautical theme.  They had purchased a painting on wood of a maritime theme.  When I told them to go to the internet and look for knobs for the furniture, they found porcelain knobs finished with a nautical theme by the SAME artist!  Note: If you look at the Chest of Drawers page, you will see a blow up of the knobs.

We got the design idea from a local baby store.  I took a couple pictures and measurements and went to town .  The kids are very happy with the results.
