My original table
saw was a Craftsman contractor series. I used it for seven years. I
spent way too much money on upgrades trying to make a "Delta wana-be" out
of it. I finally purchased a left tilt Delta Unisaw shown below. The
only thing that I added to the package was the out-feed table. Again, it's
on a mobile base so I can move it out of the way.
Using this saw has
been a pleasure. Like the Craftsman, it saws wood but so much better.
There are little things like using two wrenches to remove the blade instead of a
jam stick and one wrench. The raising and lowering is so much easier as is
tilting the blade. Since it's a cabinet saw, the dust collection is more
efficient. All in all, I am very pleased with the saw.

It finally arrived.
After much consternation over how to get it down the walk-out stairs, we
finally got it in place without damaging the saw. I removed the
cast iron wings and motor. Now that's a motor! |
 |
The wings are re-attached and
leveled. |
 |
Now what do we do? :-) |
 |
Here's Max, our dog,
inspecting all the parts. Hope he doesn't see them as a fire
hydrant! |
 |
The rails of the Beismeyer
fence are now attached and leveled. |
 |
Checking for level. |
 |
Tweaking the fence for
parallelism. The Beismeyer is very easy to set up. More
importantly, it's rock solid and accurate. |
 |
Routing the wiring. I
attached two duplex outlets on the right wing, one in the front and one
in the back. Now I have power to run tools, as I use the table saw
for my construction platform. |
 |
This is the out feed table.
There are two folding legs allowing it to drop down during relocation. |
